When is this trip?
September 13, 14 and 15. Our trip is during the full moon! Arrive in BC mid day on Friday. You’re responsible to get yourself there but it’s possible to arrange carpool options. We’ll wrap up our trip mid day on Sunday.
But… if you’d like you could extend your adventure through Monday at the nearby hot springs or towns!
Where is this trip?
We’ll be camping at the Northwest Wilderness Society on Kootenai Lake near Kaslo BC. Kootenai Lake is one of the largest lakes in British Columbia! The glacier fed water is clean and clear. The Selkirk and Purcell Mountain ranges surround the lake, creating breathtaking views that will feed your spirit and soothe your soul.
Who is This For?
No experience or fitness level is required for this trip. We aim to make this adventure accessible for anyone with an interest. All bodies are welcome! We encourage people to try new things at the level they are comfortable with, the only thing we ask is that we all bring our positive attitudes.
What will we do?
Friday: Your adventure begins at noon when you arrive in Kaslo at Schroeder Creek Marina. We’ll load up the boats with our gear and paddle to Northwest Wilderness Society Camp where we’ll set up camp, enjoy appetizers and dinner, get to know one another, settle in, and have some evening yoga.
Saturday: Wake up to the fresh lakeside air. We’ll have morning mindfulness and yoga-movement to get our body and breath primed for the day. Enjoy a breakfast, made for you, before we get out on the water and explore. You can expect canoeing and/or kayaking, nature walks, campfires, laughter, wildlife, evening yoga and more.
Sunday: Once again we’ll start our day with mindfulness and outdoor yoga! After breakfast we’ll have a bit of time to play before we break camp and paddle back to Kaslo. If you desire to stick around after we have concluded, we can enjoy lunch at one of Kaslo’s fun eateries.
