Six weeks of care and attention for your heart while practicing yoga poses and breathing. Use this series to cultivate skills, habits and mindsets that will build health and openness in your emotional and physical heart space.

The physical practice will explore essential elements of twisting and side bending as well as back and forward bending of the spine. For the mental and emotional body, each class will offer a seed question, fact or skill to take home and play with during the week. This series incorporates concepts from Yoga philosophy, Ayurveda and modern medicine.

Expect a body warming class with abdominal exercises, sun salutations and longer holds in standing poses. Create precise and easeful effort within deep, playful poses!

These Forrest Yoga classes offer a unique approach for managing and overcoming the neck and shoulder tension that is all too common in the bodies of today’s Westerner.  In addition to the 4 – 75minute classes, this series includes a printable e-book with education about anatomy, yoga philosophy and sequences for your at home yoga.
These classes are best suited for students with some yoga experience, poses will be offered with level 1 and level 2 variations. Space is limited to 12 students.

Life is so much more than the thoughts in our head! Yoga, at its root, is about bringing more awareness to our everyday movements and choices. The more present we are in our body, the more in-tune we are to the world around us. Come to a class for 4 weeks in a row and look for these positive results:

 This class is 90 minutes long however, we will not be actively practicing yoga poses the entire time. There will also be instruction, stillness and guided meditation.
